Giggle Party’s “Jason Bought A Hatchet” from Jason Reichl on Vimeo.
This is a really great tune and a great animation! I love the list of things to chop up.
Except of course eclairs. The band’s name, Giggle Party, kind of explains it all.
Maybe I’m desensitized but I love animated violence.
Video Games from MUSCLEBEAVER on Vimeo.
This is an incredible animation ranging many styles and man it gets steamy.
The Cat Piano from PRA on Vimeo.
A story about an organ that plays notes from piercing cat tails, and the rescue mission. It is really well done and twisted , which I like >:)

This thing is pretty amazing. It’s a short animated bit about the Beatles and their evolution from Liverpool boys to silly running from girls films, to their taking some sips from Eastern mysticism. It’s got really great style and flow. You will be mesmerized.
thx, @megziz!

Why are animations featuring sex and drugs so awesome? oh right. the sex and drugs.
This is “Mr. Schwartz, Mr. Hazen & Mr. Horlocker,” a short film featured by Stephan Muller in the the fourth volume of the Animation Show, now playing in San Francisco and other cities. Checkout the nice use of 3D and 2D animation techniques to pull off this unique style, especially during the ricocheting pill sequence!
The Animation Show features short films by independent animators.

It is definitely worth checking out!
I can’t imagine doing all those frames of animation. On the street, dood. Pretty badass. The sounds added in post add a lot too.

That’s from animator and illustrator Arthur de Pins. Pretty cute I suppose. Definitely good style.
I also like one about how boys and girls fit together called “Lily and Jim” by Don Hertzfeldt. Info about the animation in question on Hertzfeldt’s site because i could not find a clip on the interwebs: http://www.bitterfilms.com/lilyjim.html
but here is a different Hertzfeldt masterpiece entitled “Ah, L’Amour”:
and this last one i am posting just to show you why animation is the coolest medium: because it can incorporate baby-related violence and pass the censors
The animation is by Dan Meth. If you want some Mike Tyson’s Brunchout, go to his website and check out all the killer animations.
